Dear Colleagues, Due to the groundbreaking study results of recent years, the therapeutic concepts in early and advanced breast cancer have changed significantly and adapt more and more individually to the individual tumor disease. Due to the rapid pace of new clinically relevant data, it is not always easy in clinical practice to make the right therapy decision and to find suitable answers to the questions of our patients. We, therefore, want to inform you about the new developments in an innovative training concept and discuss current topics and case reports with you. Practical interactive exchange is our priority. In addition, as a member of the Panel, I will, so to speak, give you a first-hand account of the St. Gallen Consensus Conference that has just ended. The Breast Cancer Breast Cancer 2019 is a brand new MCI Academy event series. From June to August 2019, 5 events will take place throughout Germany on the latest study results and therapy trends for breast cancer. In keynote speeches and ContentCamps a high practical relevance is conveyed and the discussion and active participation of the participants are promoted. The MCI Academy is the organizer of content-centered medical continuing education events that combine completely new types of event formats with innovative forms of interaction. Early rehabilitation of patients with acquired neurological deficits - Early rehabilitation of patients with acquired neurological disorders is organized by International Bobath Instructors Training Association (IBITA) and will be held from Jul 22 - 26, 2019 at Burgau, Bavaria, Germany. Target Audience Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, in possession of an IBITA recognized basic course certificate will be accepted as participants in an advanced course. Course Content and Description • An advanced course must be a minimum of one week of 35 hours of teaching. (one hour = 60 minutes) • The instructor/student ratio should be an optimum of 1:10 and a maximum of 1:12. • Should there be more than 12 course members, another instructor is required to assist • The maximum number of course members is 24. • Advanced courses must include: ○ Introduction of new material. ○ Extension of present knowledge and skills at a deeper level. • An advanced level course must include daily treatment of patients by each course member on a maximum student/patient ratio of 2:1. • Evaluation by the instructor: The instructor should be able to identify potential instructors and record students’ strengths and weaknesses. Learning Objectives On completing an advanced course, each participant is expected (within the Bobath concept) to be able to: • Articulate a clear understanding how a change at the impairment level can impact on the patient’s clinical presentation and level of functioning. • Initiate and implement problem solving strategies for persons with neurological disorders. • Validate specific handling skills, environmental modifications and the use of verbal cues through self-evaluation. • Identify patient potential and achieve optimal function. • Consider the theoretical evidence base and in-depth movement analysis to assist treatment intervention. • Evaluate response to treatment using relevant outcome measures. EANO Summer School 2019 is organized by European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO) and will be held from Jul 25 - 27, 2019 at Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus, Berlin, Germany. Participants: The EANO Summer School is intended for physicians from all disciplines managing brain tumor patients including nurses, researchers, technicians and allied health professionals with an interest in molecular diagnostic. Participants must be EANO members, with a focus on young EANO members, the selection is based on a first-come/first serve basis. Description: The organizing committee has produced an exciting and comprehensive 2-day program. Molecular tests have entered the WHO Classification for Brain Tumors in the recent update. Researchers, clinicians from all disciplines and other caregivers are confronted with an increasing number of molecular parameters also for prognosis, decisions on precision medicine and if trials are discussed. These molecular parameters are relevant for traditional alkylating drugs (MGMT), do play a key role in the understanding of immunotherapies and are demanded by most patients that are counseled. Furthermore, EANO aims at fostering integration of these markers not only as a concept and scientifically, but also by practical part of every day’s work of a neuro-oncologist. The EANO Summer School, dedicated to EANO Youngsters, aims to provide up-to-date educational content on the rapidly developing molecular neuropathology for primary brain tumors with a focus on glial neoplasms, tumors in adults and both, basic generation of data, implementation and clinical implications. The educational event is aimed to attract physicians from all disciplines managing brain tumor patients including nurses, researchers, technicians and allied health professionals with an interest in molecular diagnostics, The main target groups are young EANO and EURO-CNS members, especially junior staff from all over Europe.

Michael Untch would like to invite you to an interactive and up-to-date event in Berlin on the 10th of August. The individual treatment of patients with breast cancer has evolved in recent years. In addition to advanced therapy in the established subgroups (hormone receptor and HER2 status), there are now therapies based on single molecular characteristics, such as PARP inhibitor therapy in patients with BRCA mutations. In addition, tests are presented that predict the effectiveness of therapy within subgroups. We would like to introduce you to these innovations and discuss the implementation for our patients. We will take into account the current recommendations of the AGO Mamma and the latest results of the ASCO 2019.
